About Anthony Giuffrida, MD
Dr. Anthony Giuffrida is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physiatrist and co-founder of DocNation. He is the founder and president of the Interventional Spine and Pain Management Group at Cantor Spine Center at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he leads a multidisciplinary team focused on minimally invasive, evidence-based care for spine and pain disorders.
What drives the work
Dr. Giuffrida’s clinical work centers on treating patients with acute to chronic pain, including conditions affecting the spine, nerves, joints, and muscles, using non-surgical and technologically advanced techniques. He was among the first practitioners to offer minimally invasive treatments for spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease that fall between conservative care and surgery, and he has performed procedures such as the first basivertebral nerve ablation using Stryker’s Optiblate system.
He completed his medical training at SUNY Upstate Medical University and is affiliated with West Boca Medical Center and St Mary’s Hospital. Dr. Giuffrida brings this same physician-first, patient-centered philosophy to his work with DocNation, advocating for doctors to lead decisions about their own practices and patient care.
