Whether you’re reviewing your first offer or running your own practice, here’s how membership works, how to join, and what happens after you sign up.

Welcome to DocNation. In this brief guide we cover all the basics on how to activate your membership, what’s included, and how to get the most value out of every benefit — from your first practice audit to your annual compensation review.

Membership
What Advocacy Membership includes:
Unlimited contract reviews of employment offers, contracts, renewals, and amendments
Quarterly production reviews of your collections, CPT volume, and wRVUs
An annual practice audit of your operations, contracts, and finances
Quarterly one-on-one meetings with DocNation leadership
Member networking events, mostly virtual, plus in-person meetups 2 to 3 times a year
A voice in our advocacy work, with your input shared with our lobbying team
An annual compensation audit benchmarked against MGMA, SullivanCotter, and DocNation network data
Optional add-ons for members
Contract Negotiation: A DocNation advisor negotiates the business and financial terms of your offer for you. $500 per contract, plus an Improvement Fee based on the gains we achieve.
Attorney Review: An independent licensed attorney reviews the legal terms of your offer. $1,000 per employment offer.
How to Join
- Choose monthly or annual. Monthly is $15/month with a 12-month commitment. Annual is $150/year and saves over 15%.
- Fill out a short form with your name, contact information, specialty, and practice setting.
- Review and accept the Membership Terms. They explain your benefits, billing, automatic renewal, and how to cancel.
- Add your payment method. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. DocNation never sees or stores your full card number.
- Submit. Your membership starts right away.
What happens after you join
- Instant confirmation. You’ll see a welcome page, then receive a payment receipt and a welcome email with everything you need to get started.
- No passwords or apps. Everything runs through one email address: team@docnation.com.
- Send your first contract. Email any offer, contract, renewal, or amendment to our team. We aim to deliver each review within 5 business days of receiving complete documents.
- Schedule your meetings and audits. Email us to book your quarterly leadership meeting, practice audit, or compensation audit. Unused quarterly meetings don’t carry over, so book yours early.
- Send your production reports each quarter (collections, CPT volume, and wRVUs for the last 90 days) for your production review.
- Watch your inbox for event invitations, and email us anytime with advocacy issues you want our lobbying team to hear about.
Managing your membership
Automatic renewal: Your membership renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. Annual members get a reminder email 30 days before renewal.
Your account page: Visit docnation.com/account anytime to update your card, view invoices, or switch between monthly and annual.
Cancelling: Submit our cancellation form or email team@docnation.com to cancel. Annual memberships end at the end of the paid year. Monthly memberships are an annual commitment paid in 12 monthly installments, so a cancellation takes effect at the end of your current membership year. To avoid starting a new year, cancel before your membership anniversary. You keep your benefits until your cancellation takes effect.
Upgrade anytime: Move to Signature, and any unused Advocacy dues are credited toward your new plan.

4. Your Input Shared with Lobbyists
We ensure your insights and concerns are shared with our lobbying team, influencing healthcare policies that matter to you. A portion of every membership fee directly funds this advocacy work.
5. Annual Compensation Audit
Every member gets a yearly compensation audit to ensure you’re receiving what you deserve — benchmarked against MGMA, Sullivan Cotter, and DocNation’s own physician network data for your specialty and region.

SignatureIf Advocacy gives you the floor of physician advocacy and routine reviews, Signature Membership gives you the same level of influence professional athletes wield — a dedicated 24/7 concierge service staffed with specialists across every relevant discipline (contracts, financial planning, practice management, malpractice, advocacy, brand management).
To request Signature pricing, head to the Signature services page or message your member success contact. Pricing is tailored to your practice; we send a complimentary review audit before any commitment.
When you upgrade, your Advocacy enrollment carries forward — unused portion of your annual fee is credited against the Signature engagement, and we skip the onboarding audit if yours is current.

Frequently asked questions
Can I share my membership with my spouse or partner?
Memberships are individual to one physician. Compensation and contract reviews are tied to your career data and license. If your partner is also a physician, they need their own membership.
Is the practice audit covered if I don’t have my own practice?
Yes. For employed physicians the audit reviews your contract, comp plan, schedule, malpractice tail, and exit terms instead of a P&L. Same hour, same depth.
Are quarterly meetings recorded?
No. Member meetings are off the record — we want you saying what you actually think.
Do you handle international physicians?
DocNation is currently U.S. focused. Most of the advocacy and reimbursement work is U.S.-specific. If you practice abroad but trained in or hold U.S. credentials, write us and we’ll let you know if we can help.
Can I get help with a single service without joining?
Yes. If you’re looking for one-off help with a single service rather than a full membership, such as a contract review, a non-compete negotiation, or a relocation plan, you can request a complimentary review through our Signature Services page without joining DocNation.
Is there a refund policy?
Both plans are fully refundable if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and haven’t used any member benefits. Your membership ends right away, and monthly members are released from the annual commitment. After that, dues aren’t refundable. See the Membership Terms for details.
